This item is a Black Woven Fiberglass Tape Gasket used on many older Wood Stoves. It is 1/8" thick and 3/4" wide. This gasket is self adhesive and does not require Cement. This is a thicker tape gasket used to replace the original glass gasket.

To install gasket, please place half on one side, roll over edge and half on the other. This way both sides and the edge is sandwiched in the gasket.

It is installed around the glass to insure a tight fit and prevent air and smoke leakage from the firebox. It should be inspected Yearly and replaced as needed.
